A well know Dutch Youth Orchestra (NJO, now known as Dutch orchestra and ensemble academy) organises concerts n the summer, as part of the education and training programm of young Dutch Musicians. This year artist in residence was Steve Reich.

I must admit I do not know too much music of Reich, but since he is one of the "inventors" of minimal music (together with Philip Glass and Terry Riley) it is certainly one of the interesting composers of the modern times. The concert was great, with Steve Reich himself being present. I enjoyed, also because of the enthusiastic performances of the Young Artists!
